Majina Ya Waliopata Mkopo Awamu Ya Kwanza 2025/2026 HESLB
The Higher Education Students’ Loans Board (HESLB) has officially released the first phase of student loan and grant allocations worth TZS 426.5(Majina Ya Waliopata Mkopo Awamu Ya Kwanza 2025/2026 HESLB) billion for a total of 135,240 students for the 2025/2026 academic year.
According to the statement issued on Friday, October 24, 2025, this allocation includes students at various academic levels across the country’s higher learning institutions.
Breakdown of the Disbursement
A total of 46,294 students (40,952 undergraduates and 5,342 diploma students) will benefit from loans amounting to TZS 152 billion.
Samia Scholarship Beneficiaries.
Around 615 students under the Samia Scholarship program will receive grants worth TZS 3.3 billion.
Continuing Students:
HESLB Statement
The HESLB clarified that the board will continue issuing subsequent disbursement phases as new admissions are confirmed and as results for continuing students are verified.
They also reminded all loan applicants to regularly check their SIPA accounts for updates on the evaluation and loan allocation process
