Bariadi Town Council has announced two (2) vacancies for Driver Grade II for qualified Tanzanian citizens. The vacancies have been issued following approval from the President’s Office – Public Service Management and Good Governance.

Qualified and interested Tanzanians are invited to apply for these positions with Bariadi Town Council.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Inspecting the vehicle before and after every trip to ensure it is in good and safe working condition.
• Driving government employees to various locations for official duties.
• Carrying out minor vehicle repairs and maintenance when necessary.
• Maintaining and updating the vehicle’s logbook for all official trips.
• Collecting and distributing official documents and other materials.
• Keeping the vehicle clean and in good condition.
• Performing any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants for the position of Driver Grade II must have:

• A Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (Form IV).
• A valid Class C or Class E driving licence.
• At least one (1) year of driving experience without causing a road accident.
• Relevant training certificates that enabled the applicant to obtain the required driving licence class.
• A Basic Driving Course certificate from VETA or another government-recognised training institution.
