Consulting Engineer – Civil Works Supervision | Pemba, Zanzibar

 Individual Consulting Engineer – Civil Works Supervision for the KIJANI PEMBA – Strengthening Urban Eco-Resilience in Chake Chake and Mkoani project in Pemba, Zanzibar.

The consultant will provide technical supervision and contract administration for six civil works lots, covering pathways, retaining walls, green areas, recreational facilities, and related infrastructure.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Professional registration with the relevant regulatory body.
• At least 5 years of post-qualification experience.
• Minimum 3 similar civil works/infrastructure supervision assignments.
• Experience managing multiple construction sites or work fronts.
• Strong skills in quality control, measurements, quantities, drawings, specifications, and contract administration.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project/equivalent, and MS Office.
• Fluency in English.
• Willingness to work intensively on-site in Pemba.
• EU-funded or iNGO project experience is an advantage.

Assignment duration: Approximately 6 months

Location: Pemba, Zanzibar, Tanzania
