Songwe DC Vacancies Announcement August 2026
Songwe District Council has announced 5 new job vacancies following approval from the President's Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance. If you are looking for an opportunity to join the Tanzania Public Service, ensure you submit your application before the deadline.
Job Vacancy Details
1. Driver Grade II / Dereva Daraja la II (4 Posts)
Salary Scale: TGS B
Qualifications: Certificate of Secondary
Education (Form IV). Class E or C Driving License with at least one (1) year of accident-free driving
Experience. Basic Driving Course certificate from VETA or any other government-recognized institution.
Key Responsibilities: Inspecting vehicle safety before and after trips, driving staff to official destinations, performing minor vehicle repairs, maintaining the logbook, and keeping the vehicle clean.
2. Personal Secretary II / Mwandishi Mwendesha Ofisi Daraja la II (1 Post)
Salary Scale: TGS C
Qualifications: Form IV or Form VI Certificate.
Diploma / NTA Level 6 in Secretarial Studies from a recognized institution.
Passed Kiswahili and English shorthand at 100 words per minute.
Proficient in computer office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Email, and Publisher).
Key Responsibilities: Typing letters and documents, receiving and directing visitors, managing appointments and schedules, and organizing office files and records.
